How To Flash/upgrade Amlogic Devices Via SDcard Using Amlogic Burn Card Maker

How to use Amlogic Burn Card Maker

Step 1. Insert your SDcard into a USB card reader and connect to PC

Note: Your SDcard is going to be formatted during this process so, I recommend taking backup of any data on your SDcard.

 

Step 2. Download the Amlogic BurnCardMaker v2.0.2 and Extract the archive to the desktop.

Step 3.  Run Burn_Card_Maker.exe as administrator.

To change the app to English, click on the Chinese menu at the top then select the second option and tick English Version, restart the app and run again as administrator.

Step 4. Now you see a drop-down menu with the label choose disk, Select the SDcard you want to burn the image to.

Now tick the following options:
  • erase_flash (select erase in normal)r
  • erase_bootloader
  • Reboot
 

Step 5. You’ll see an option to choose your image files, Click Open button to browse where your downloaded firmware is located and then select the firmware image file which should have the .img as file extension of the Amlogic device you want to flash/ upgrade.

Step 6. After you must have selected the image file, click on the Make button. You’ll see a pop up telling you SDcard will be formatted. Click OK. After formatting the SDcard, click done. Burning image to SDcard will begin immediately. This process usually takes about 10 minutes too complete.

When the process is done, insert the micro SD card in the Amlogic device then power it on. The device will enter recovery mode and flash/upgrade process will begin. When it’s done, the device will reboot. You can now remove the SDcard from the device then wait for remaining update process to complete.

  1. I have a big problem everytime i want to make burn an image on my card it says problem boot partition or uboot can you please help me ! thanks
