Some time ago, around August specifically, Lenovo announced it’ll be the first smartphone company to incorporate 5G technology into its smartphone along with the latest Qualcomm SoC, I’m talking about no other than the Snapdragon 855 chip. 2018 has marked several trends, we’ve seen the rise of notch displays, triple and four-camera setup devices and slider display which seems to be the future of Android smartphone. Slider displays help to remove bezels from smartphones while giving a full immersive view.
Now, however, Lenovo will be launching the first ever 5G powered smartphone which will also feature 12GB of RAM, Snapdragon 855 Soc and 512GB internal storage, the Levono Z5 Pro GT.
Lenovo Z5 Pro GT With Up to 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 855 SoC Unveiled
The Motorola owned brand, of course, Lenovo unveiled the Z5 Pro GT on Tuesday alongside the Lenovo Z5s which features a 3-camera setup, Snapdragon 710. Lenovo Z5s comes in three different storage variant, 4/64 GB, 6/64 GB, and 6/128 GB. It comes with Android Oreo out of the box and runs the most recent Android 8.1 Oreo with the ZUI interface.

The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT features a 6.39-inch ( 1080 × 2340 pixels) Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9 along with Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection. Also, it is a slider display, I guess we’re going back in the days again.
The mechanical slider holds a dual-camera setup plus earpiece while giving the phone a complete edge-to-edge view. On the back, you’d find a dual-rear camera setup too with an LED flash just below the vertical cams.
In the camera depart, we have a 16MP main camera and 8MP IR with face unlock. As for the rear camera, there is a 16MP + 24MP sensor with Dual-tone LED flash.
Lenovo Z5 Pro GT runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie OS on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip 7nm Mobile Platform (1 x 2.84GHz Kryo 485 + 3 x 2.42GHz Kryo 485 + 4x 1.80GHz Kryo 485) with Adreno 640 GPU. It’ll be available in four storage options, 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB internal memory, an 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and a 12GB RAM with a 512GB storage option.
The device is powered by a 3350mAh battery with support for fast charging. Other features of the device include:

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT Price And Availability
The price of the device will differ according to the memory options, of course, the 6GB + 128GB will start selling at $391, 8GB + 128GB will be priced at $434, 8GB + 256GB will be priced at $492, while the 12GB Ram + 512GB will be priced at $635. The device will gon on sale starting January 15th
