After several leaks and rumours, Motorola finally launched its Edge and Edge+ 5G powered smartphone. The Motorola Edge and Edge+ are the first phones from the company to launch in 2020 and bags impressive specs.
For years now, Motorola has been out of the flagship phone space and now the company seems to be ready to take other brands head on.
Motorola Edge and Edge+ delivers an immersive view with its 6.7-inch hole-punch FHD+ Endless Edge display that wraps 90 degrees around the edges. Both displays are OLED and have a 90Hz refresh rate.
A 3.5mm audio jack is present on the both device, Dual stereo speakers tuned by Waves and Water-repellant (IP52).
As previous leaks suggested, the Motorola Edge+ boasts of a 108MP camera sensor which can record 4k video at 60fps and 6k at 30fps. It is the same camera sensor found on the Galaxy S20 and Xiaomi Mi Note 10 phone while the standard Edge sports a 64MP camera sensor.
The main camera on the Edge+ is paired with two other sensors giving the device a triple camera setup on the rear while the standard Edge has 3 other camera sensors o help you take great shots. A 25MP camera is situated in the hole-punch screen with AI features for shooting a selfie.
Motorola Edge+ is powered by Snapdragon 865 with up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage and the standard Edge is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G with up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage. Both are 5G enabled.
Both devices come with a pretty decent battery, Edge+ is housed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Motorola Edge, on the other hand, is fueled by a 4500mAh battery that comes with 18W fast charging support, no wireless charging.

While the Motorola Edge and Edge+ launches with respectable specs, the price of the device could affect the success of the device in the market due to the fact that people are already complaining over the exorbitant prices of smartphones in 2020.
The Motorola edge+ will be available in Thunder Grey and Smokey Sangria colours and priced at $999.99 (approx N390,000) and Motorola edge will be available in Solar Black and Midnight Magenta colours, and priced at $756 (approx N295,000).
