Redmi has announced a 48MP camera device called the Note 7. Saying Redmi announced a new smartphone without mentioning Xiaomi can sound a little strange to some of you guys. It only means that Xiaomi’s Redmi is now a brand on its own, an independent brand that the company has allowed to be named after it’s mobile phones ( most especially budget phones ) while Xiaomi itself focuses on mid-range to premium devices. But it is still OK to say Redmi by Xiaomi has announced Note 7. Now about the Note 7, just like we’ve always known the Redmi line of phones, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is also tagged entry-level which I quite disagree with.
Seeing the specs of these wonderful devices, it could also look midrange. And I like to call low-end devices like this a ‘standard low-end’ device. Going by its wonderful build, dual rear camera, and notch, it looks so premium, expensive than it’s the market price. Xiaomi will be looking to get a massive number of customers this year.

Although with one of Qualcomm’s low range processors, the processor still works at an unbelievable 4X 2.2ghz and 4X 1.8ghz. That is an octa-core processor with a 2.2ghz speed at 4 cores and 1.8ghz at another 4 cores. That is big. As for the memory, there are variants and both are quite impressive. 3GB / 32GB and 4GB or 6GB / 64GB. The device supports external card storage which is expandable to 256GB. For your graphics use, you would have Adreno 512.

The mobile phone is roughly around $150 for the 3GB variant while the 6GB variant is around $200. There’s an earphone jack, 3 color choices (Blue, Black, Twilight Gold), rear-mounted fingerprint amongst others. Redmi Note 7 is expected to be released by January 15.
