The well known Chinese phone manufacturer, Xiaomi has finally made an official announcement to launch its product in Nigeria after announcing its partnership with jumia to enter the African market few weeks ago.
The company took to their official Facebook page to the its product launch in the city of Lagos come 24th of April 2019. The company will have to compete with Africa’s leading smartphone brand like Samsung, Gionee, Tecno, Infinix, iTel etc.
For those of you who who don’t Xiaomi, it is one of the top smartphone brand in the world and is known for it cheap hardware. With Xiaomi making a come in to the Nigerian (African) market, there’s going to be a lot of competition among brands in Africa.
We already can see Infinix taking it smartphone to another level of affordability with the Hot S4 that was launched just a couple of days and we expect to see other brands follow suit.
Honestly, having Xiaomi in the African market is going to be a big deal for existing brands but let’s just wait and see how it goes between this brands once Xiaomi steps in.
While there are no details regarding the the products to be launched, we’re sure its going to be something worth paying for. Also, the company is going to have experience centers across the states where you’ll be able to fix your Xiaomi phones should in case it develop problem.
